When making a stacked book cake, do you use cake boards between each book, Do you wrap the entire book in fondant and do you use dowels to support your layers,

I haven’t actually made a book cake. But, from my reading — you use cake boards between each book. =) And some cakes do use fondant. =) It would depend on each recipe.
